The launch of Disney+ in November 2019 ushered in a new era of streaming, one where established industry leaders like Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, and Amazon Prime Video are facing growing competition from major new players in the industry. New players include Apple TV Plus while AT&T’s WarnerMedia streaming service is currently in beta. Additionally, there are several smaller, niche-oriented streaming services doing very well, like The Criterion Channel, Crunchyroll, and Shudder. Emerging streaming platforms with innovative advertiser models are providing a competitive need for content.
Pigmental’s strong and multiple Feature & TV Series projects is a lucrative ongoing revenue source for the company, with each season playing multiple times in multiple local and international markets over multiple years. Additional seasons are more then likely with a medium audience response and will allow for better deals across all options.
